Site Manager

Greenvolt Next France is seeking a Site Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the execution of decentralized energy projects, with a strong focus on photovoltaic (PV) installations. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
You will act as a key link between internal teams, subcontractors, and partners, supporting both the development and execution phases. This role combines technical expertise, on-site coordination, and project management within a fast-growing environment focused on the energy transition
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Development & Technical Support
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and technical input during negotiations.
- Assist in licensing processes and preparation of required documentation for project approvals.
- Conduct site surveys according to Greenvolt Group guidelines to support execution project design.
- Review and critically analyze technical projects, ensuring feasibility and adaptation to on-site conditions.
- Construction & Site Management
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project priorities.
- Oversee installation works, including structures, photovoltaic modules, inverters, and cabling systems.
- Monitor progress, quality of works, and compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Support subcontractors in resolving technical issues during execution.
- Assist in the commissioning phase of photovoltaic plants.
- Prepare and deliver weekly activity and progress reports.
- Subcontractor & Installer Management
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors throughout the installation phase.
- Supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure adherence to timelines and milestones.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards on-site.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure high standards of workmanship.
- Act as the main point of contact between Greenvolt Next and subcontractors.
- Resolve operational or communication issues efficiently.
- Project Planning & Execution Control
- Collaborate with senior management to define project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Support budget preparation for construction and procurement activities.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and availability of manpower.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Operation & Maintenance Support
- Support the transition from construction to operation phase.
- Contribute to the management, monitoring, and maintenance of projects after commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards.
- Stay updated on changes in relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Stakeholder Coordination & Reporting
- Provide regular updates on project status to internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, operations) to ensure smooth execution.
- Support relationship management with external partners, suppliers, and vendors
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Energy, or related field) or equivalent technical background.
- 3+ years of experience in site management, construction, or renewable energy projects.
- Experience in photovoltaic (PV) systems and decentralized energy solutions is a strong asset.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including low and medium voltage installations.
- Experience in managing subcontractors and on-site operations.
- Familiarity with project lifecycle from development to commissioning.
- Fluency in French and good command of English.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proactive, hands‑on, and solution‑oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, PVsyst, PVSol, and electrical sizing tools.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Driving license (Category B).
- Availability to travel to project sites.
