Job Title
Fleet Structural Support Daily Repair Engineer (Engineer Support Structure – French: Ingénieur Support Structure).
Mission / Responsibilities
- Provide timely technical support to customers 7‑days‑per‑week, including morning and evening shifts.
- Evaluate daily customer requests regarding structural damage on in‑service aircraft.
- Describe all actions needed to repair aircraft via Structural Repair Instructions.
- Investigate the existence of previous damage cases and similar repairs to ensure consistent support.
- Develop generic repair procedures to effectively address recurring issues.
- Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders, overseeing the entire lifecycle of global critical queries from receipt to full resolution.
- Participate in Design Organization activities, preparing and releasing critical approval documents (e.g., Technical Adaptation and Structural Repair Approval Sheets) under Part21J delegation.
- Manage subcontractor portfolio, ensuring clear work specifications, expectations, and systematic monitoring of OTD/OQD.
- Frequent interactions with customers, stress office, Repair Drawing Team, and other ATR departments (customer support, spares engineering, safety, quality, etc.).
Qualifications
- Master's degree (Bac +5) in aeronautical structures or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 6 years in aircraft structure stress analysis or repair.
- Proficiency in aircraft structures (preferably ATR structures).
- Expertise in aircraft structural repair principles (metallic and composite).
- In‑depth knowledge of metallic and composite materials.
- Familiarity with non‑destructive testing methods.
- Knowledge of Leonardo/ Airbus drawings is a plus.
- English proficiency (B2 level); Italian is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with ATR IT tools (CRM, SAMONIT, GILDA) is advantageous.
- Autonomous and rigorous with strong organizational skills.
- Open‑minded, positive thinker, excellent team player.
- Strong customer orientation and ability to anticipate customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
Specific Constraints
The position requires participation in stand‑by duties during evenings, nights, and weekends.
