Trainee, Paris

The Business Sweden France team in Paris, made up of 14 employees, are now looking for a Trainee to join our team for one year.

Business Sweden works with leading multinational companies and start-ups across all industries, and our clients’ business is often driven by digitalization, innovation, and sustainability. Our consultancy services include e.g. market entry & growth strategies including M&A, sales acceleration, tech scouting as well as Public Affairs support. We help Swedish companies enter new markets, understand market dynamics, identify local partners, appreciate the regulatory landscape, and build out their services or product offering.

From our Paris office you will join Region Europe, a region within Business Sweden that operates from 14 local offices outside Sweden across Europe.

The foundation “The Swedish-French Language Fund” (Svensk-Franska Språkfonden, SFS) aims to promote trade between Sweden and France and offers unique scholarships every year to deepen the knowledge of French business language and business culture, as well as increasing and developing Swedish-French business collaborations.

Within the foundation's scholarship program, a one-year Traineeship at Business Sweden in Paris is offered, starting in September 2026.

The position will provide you with valuable insight and experience in international business development, and you would be working with a large variety of clients and services. Our assignments range from strategically complex business to hands‑on operational projects and our client base is a mix of global corporations, start‑ups and local family businesses, as well as public agencies and organisations.

As Trainee at Business Sweden, your job will encompass a diverse range of tasks and the role includes responsibilities such as:

• Contributing to consultancy and investment projects, playing an active role in execution.
• Supporting with guidance to Swedish companies to navigate export‑related challenges.
• Collecting, analysing, and compiling market information.
• Screening, targeting, and engaging with potential partners or clients to Swedish companies.
• Supporting the marketing and promotion of key Swedish industrial sectors through various collaborations with the Embassy and Team Sweden actors in France.

The role is based in Paris, but you will collaborate with colleagues from around the world.

The role is a fixed‑term employment from September 2026 to August 2027.

Several former Trainees have upon successful completion of their Traineeship continued their career at Business Sweden, both in Paris or in another of Business Sweden's 50 offices spread across the globe.

Formal requirements

• Master of science in Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent
• A high level of proficiency in written and spoken French, Swedish, and English is a requirement
• Meriting if you have lived or studied in France, other international experience is a plus
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
