Become part of the Electronic Solution Organization of Honeywell, located on Customer site in Toulouse, France, focusing on the Honeywell Flight Management System (FMS) product line.
We are looking for a new “FMS System Engineer” team member, for a key role within on‑site engineering organization, supporting the development programs with customers (Airbus), as well as working with our regional partners on European research programs.
Main objectives are to facilitate business, programmatic and technical communication, endorse interface responsibilities between customers and internal project teams. You will be participating in the entire life cycle development of the Flight Management System, supporting technically, from definition of product to certification, including design, laboratory, and flight‑testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with Customer to capture need, requirement definition, analysis & decomposition
- Support product validation on Aircraft Simulator, flight testing, report analysis
- Coordinate with local and global internal team on Systems design, integration, validation
- Daily support on site customer activities
Travel within EU, US and/or internationally may be required – 10%.
You Must Have
- B.S. or higher degree in engineering or related program with 5+ years’ experience
- Aeronautic background either from initial education or on‑the‑job experience
- Experience on Flight Management System and/or Cockpit Operation
- Customer relation experience
- 2+ years’ experience as engineer or 5+ years on the job
- Real time and aeronautic systems development lifecycle experience
- Regular use of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
- Good communication skills including verbal and written communication
- Problem Solving: Finds effective solutions based on root causes; seeks diverse opinions
- Read, write, and speak French and English fluently
We Value
- Experience on Airbus Cockpit, and Navigation systems
- Experience of system specifications and ability to capture customer requirements
- Experience in project and/or program management
- Experience in Electronic domain
- Knowledge of Airbus organization and standard (GRESS, ABDs …)
- Knowledge of regulatory standards DO178, DO254, DO160, ARP4754A
- Knowledge of Model based System Engineering development (MBSE)
- Good level of negotiation/interrelationship
- Autonomy, fast decision making, pragmatism, initiative, and team spirit
