Sr MS Sales Development Specialist
Overview
Waters is seeking a dynamic contributor to fill the role of a Sr MS Sales Development Specialist in our Biologics business, covering the whole West-European region. The Biologics Commercial team is directly responsible for customers primarily engaged in large molecule work. This role will have the exciting opportunity to drive the sales of our full range of hig end Mass Spectrometers.
The desired candidate should be highly self-motivated to develop and implement a regional business plan, while working in unison with their assigned Bio Account Management Team, fellow MS Sales Development Specialists and marketing colleagues to deliver a strong call cycle and business development activities. The foundation of the MS Sales Development Specialist role is to develop a keen understanding of the customers' needs to design solutions with lasting and meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
Own top-of-funnel pipeline development, progressing Prospects to Opportunities in partnership with the account managers, and ensure clean opportunity hand-over to account managers.
Lead high-level technical discovery conversations to identify analytical bottlenecks in protein therapy and genetic medicine workflows.
Meet or exceed sales targets
Maintain installed-base customer satisfaction
Purposefully develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts
Visit customers daily to highlight Waters MS solutions and help customers with any technical obstacles in their way
Build technical competency on Waters solution and to be perceived by customers as a credible resource
Maintain current knowledge on vertical markets dynamics, application trends, and other critical business information
Provide information to marketing team to create business development programs
Maintain CRM and full leverage sales tools and applications
