The role

As a PreSales Consultant – Modern Workplace, Security & Adoption, you act as a key bridge between customer business challenges and SoftwareOne’s Microsoft services portfolio.

You support customers in their Modern Workplace transformation, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, Security, Copilot adoption, and Change Management. Working closely with Account Managers, Delivery teams, and Microsoft, you design, qualify, and position high‑value services that accelerate customer time‑to‑value.

You are a trusted advisor, able to engage both technical and business stakeholders, articulate value‑driven service propositions, and secure customer buy‑in during the pre‑sales cycle.

The role reports to the PreSales Services Team Lead – France.

PreSales & Solution Design

  • Engage with customers to understand their Modern Workplace, Security, and Adoption challenges, use cases, and business objectives.
  • Design end‑to‑end Microsoft services offerings, including:
    • Modern Workplace (M365, Teams, Intune)
    • Microsoft Security (Defender, Purview, Entra ID)
    • Adoption & Change Management
    • Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption programs
  • Translate customer needs into clear scopes, Statements of Work (SoW), and value‑based proposals.
  • Position SoftwareOne services with a strong focus on business outcomes and adoption value, not just technical delivery.

Sales Support & Deal Acceleration

  • Work closely with Account Managers to:
    • Qualify opportunities
    • Shape service strategies
    • Support account plans and pipeline development
  • Lead or contribute to customer workshops, scoping sessions, and pre‑sales presentations.
  • Support the full pre‑sales lifecycle, from initial engagement to deal closure.
  • Contribute to RFPs, tenders, and complex enterprise deals, particularly around Microsoft services.

Stakeholder & Ecosystem Collaboration

  • Act as a trusted advisor for customer stakeholders at different organizational levels (IT, Security, Digital Workplace, Business sponsors).
  • Collaborate closely with Delivery teams to ensure pre‑sold solutions are realistic, scalable, and deliverable.
  • Work with Microsoft teams (FastTrack, funding programs, specialists) to maximize joint value for customers.

Portfolio & Thought Leadership

  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the Microsoft Modern Workplace, Security, and Copilot ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the evolution of SoftwareOne services offerings, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Share market feedback, customer insights, and improvement ideas with internal teams.

What we need to see from you

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Microsoft certifications are highly valued, such as:
    • MS‑900, MS‑700, MS‑500, SC‑300, SC‑400, or equivalent
  • Knowledge or certification in Change Management or Adoption frameworks is a strong plus.

Work Experience

  • 4–6+ years of experience in a PreSales, Consulting, or Technical Advisory role around Digital / Modern Workplace solutions.
  • Strong background in Microsoft services and consulting, ideally within a partner ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to:
    • Structure complex topics and scopes
    • Communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences
    • Present value‑oriented proposals to customers
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across Sales, PreSales, Delivery, and Partners.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French & English).
  • Highly organized, autonomous, and comfortable working on multiple opportunities in parallel.
  • Results‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of customer success.
