On its site located in Paris-Saclay, it brings together its own staff, employees of its partners and those of external companies. The IPVF aims to become one of the main global centers for research, innovation and training in the field of energy transition.
Job Context
As part of its joint research program, the IPVF seeks to continue its work on the study of the energy and economic performance of photovoltaic structures. Within the characterization and modeling team, the candidate will contribute to strengthening the knowledge and strategic positioning of the IPVF in terms of energy performance, techno-economic analyses, environmental assessment and continuous progress of photovoltaic technologies. The results will allow IPVF to dynamically adjust its roadmap by focusing on the most relevant solutions or responding to customer needs.
What we offer
As part of a growing international technology organization that places innovation, excellence, and agility at the heart of its values, we offer a work environment that values team spirit and promotes training. The IPVF will allow you to express your potential and demonstrate your skills in technical and economic studies.
MAIN MISSIONS
- Conduct photovoltaic market research, for example mapping of players and monitoring of developments taking into account associated application sectors, and their dimensions.
- Evaluate the commercialization potential of processes and technologies (e.g., perovskites, CdTe, III-V, CiGS and tandem technologies).
- Carry out energy efficiency assessments of photovoltaic power plants based on modeling and simulations.
- Analyze various photovoltaic structure designs and provide information on performance optimization.
- Carry out techno-economic analyses and technological cost calculations (CoO, LCOE, RoI, etc.) for different PV technologies.
- Collaborate with the different members to refine the modeling, optimize the studies and take advantage of the different expertise.
- Collaborate with partners from different projects through consortia.
- Publish the results in renowned journals and participate in conferences/workshops.
- Contribute to reporting.
Required Profile
- Training: Engineer/PhD in renewable energy or physical chemistry, with solid knowledge of PV technologies (c-Si, perovskites, etc.) and modeling.
- Experience: Optimization of energy performance of PV structures, techno-economic analyses (CoO total acquisition cost, LCOE discounted cost of energy), laboratory processes.
- Languages & Skills: Fluent English, Python coding, PVSyst or equivalent energy production calculation tool.
