Eurofins seeks an engineering intern in continuous improvement for a 4–6 month placement starting February 2027 at its asbestos laboratory near Rennes. The role involves managing improvement projects, implementing Lean methodologies, optimizing processes, and coordinating with technical teams to enhance operational efficiency and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead improvement projects including facility redesign, infrastructure upgrades, and modernization initiatives
• Implement Lean approaches through team facilitation, problem-solving, and deployment of visual management tools
• Analyze production processes to identify efficiency gains and cost optimization opportunities
• Design and implement ergonomic adjustments to enhance working conditions and equipment performance
• Identify and deploy digitalization and automation opportunities suited to laboratory operations

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in engineering school with specialization in industrial engineering, process engineering, or industrial maintenance
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies, problem-solving, and Lean management tools (5S, VSM, Kaizen)
• Proactive mindset with ability to develop solutions independently
• Team player with pragmatism, commitment, and curiosity
• Technical aptitude for maintenance, manual work, or hands-on activities
• Fluent English for communication with international stakeholders
