The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its EIB Global Directorate (GLO) - Partnerships for Impact Department (PFI) - Strategy and Business Development Division (SBD) - Policy and Impact Unit (P&I) at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE

Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st September)

With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University

Please note that you are requested to limit your applications to a maximum of three traineeship publications. We will only consider and retain the first three applications submitted.

Objective of the traineeship

The overall goal of the traineeship is to contribute to the elaboration of harmonized impact reporting products, notably in view of events in 2026 and 2027 (such as UNGA, the IMF/WB Annual meeting, the Global Gateway Forum, the EIB Group Forum and the EIB Chair of Heads of MDBs). The trainee will also contribute to the identification, collection, and processing of appropriate data to be used for internal/external communication and provide support to the organization of events on EIB Global activities.

The trainee will also support coordination regarding EU policy aspects and contribute to related internal and external meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Head of Unit and senior colleagues, you will actively participate in the Unit’s core activities. Your main tasks will be:
  • Collect and process data in view of elaborating harmonized impact reporting products and related material on EIB operations outside the EU and EU's policy framework
  • Contribute to the preparation of events, in all aspects related to information and communication
  • Provide inputs in the form of aggregated data for the preparation of internal and external reports
  • Provide inputs to briefings, speeches etc. for events and other related activities (conferences, high-level visits etc.)

Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills

  • Final year of studies or university degree in Economics, Business Administration or a related field
  • Experience in development policies, if possible in an EU institution, will be considered as an advantage
  • Good to advanced knowledge of MS Office software, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Any other language will be an asset
