About the Role
Compensation & Benefits Specialist – France, part of the Regional Center of Excellence for Compensation & Benefits at STMicroelectronics. You will contribute to the deployment of a Total Reward strategy and a skill-based reward approach throughout the employee lifecycle, aiming to build ST competitive advantage, strengthen performance management alignment, improve attractiveness and motivation, and enable data-based decision making for managers.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for France for benefits topics including employee savings schemes, profit-sharing, incentive plans, health and life insurance, and company cars, ensuring consistency, equity, and alignment with ST governance.
- Monitor, analyze and propose improvements to the French benefits framework, identifying opportunities for harmonization and simplification across entities and sites when relevant.
- Support the design and deployment of benefits policies and processes in France, ensuring they are understandable, operational, compliant, and aligned with business needs and employee expectations.
- Act as the key contact for France on benefits matters, including during mergers and acquisitions, collaborating with HR, Finance, Corporate, Legal, Industrial Relations, payroll, providers, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the review and optimization of existing benefits processes, with the aim to document, simplify, and continuously improve them.
- Support communication to employees and awareness among managers on remuneration and benefits topics to improve understanding and perceived value of the overall compensation package.
- Ensure coordination with local and regional stakeholders and help anticipate regulatory changes impacting benefits and employee protection schemes.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support grading evaluation and the French classification methodology (Hay-based) to ensure governance and fairness, with the aim of moving from local committees to a regional committee.
- Identify inconsistencies in grading positioning in France, promote realignment processes and training for stakeholders.
- Promote a grading strategy aligned with the new ST job architecture, leveraging benchmarking and AI for position evaluation, in collaboration with Corporate C&R and the CoE E2E Talent.
About You / Qualifications
- Experience in HR, with initial exposure to compensation/benefits or knowledge of Hay grading methodology a plus.
- Team spirit and ability to work autonomously.
- Desire to learn, challenge the status quo, and strengthen strategic thinking.
- Problem solving skills and ability to analyze data, make data-driven decisions, and communicate findings clearly to diverse stakeholders (Finance, Audit, CSR, employee representatives, managers, HR).
- English skills; confidentiality and attention to quality.
