Eaton’s Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business is part of the Electrical Division and plays a key role in enabling a more resilient, sustainable, and efficient energy future. BESS solutions support the integration of renewable energy, grid stability, and energy optimization for customers across utilities, commercial, and industrial sectors. By combining advanced power management technologies with deep electrical expertise, Eaton BESS helps customers manage energy more reliably and sustainably.

We are seeking a Technical Support After Sales professional based in Montbonnot‑Saint‑Martin, near Grenoble – one of Eaton’s key engineering and innovation sites within the Electrical Division. In this role, you will support Eaton’s BESS after‑sales activities by addressing technical issues raised by country technical support teams, contributing to service readiness for new projects, and supporting the development of technical correspondents through knowledge sharing and training.

What You’ll Do

Support and Training

  • Provide expert guidance and assistance for BESS products after sales.
  • Train Field Service Engineers (FSE) and Authorized Service Partners, including developing training materials, conducting training events, and creating service manuals.
  • Identify, reproduce, and fix customer issues through hands‑on troubleshooting sessions using on‑prem equipment.

Technical Interface

  • Collect and analyze technical information from the field to develop action plans in collaboration with R&D and quality teams, and if necessary, with customers until resolution.
  • Write and distribute Field Service Bulletins (FSB).
  • Represent the service team in new product development meetings and Gate Reviews.
  • Occasionally visit customer sites to provide technical expertise for complex issues and commissioning of complex systems.

Spare Parts

  • Create and maintain spare part lists and kits.
  • Provide technical support for spare parts to field engineers.

Quality Improvement

  • Execute functional testing plan before releasing new firmware updates to customers.
  • Organize periodic expert meetings.
  • Ensure rapid and appropriate responses to users to maintain customer satisfaction.

After Sales Process Definition and Improvement

  • Define, monitor, and improve the after sales process for BESS products, applicable to all stakeholders.
  • Plan, track, and report KPIs related to the after sales process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Bac +2 to Bac +5), preferably in a technical field.
  • Good command of English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar or relevant role.

  • Strong background in Electrical, Electronic, Electrotechnical, or IT Network disciplines.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Methodical and structured approach to problem solving.
  • Strong ability to analyze information and summarize technical topics clearly.
