Technical Sales & Business Development Manager France

50% Technical Sales

You will act as a technical-commercial reference for customer RFQs, tenders, technical clarifications, and offer development.

50% New Business Development

You will actively identify, open, and develop new business opportunities with EPCs, developers, data center operators, renewable energy players, BESS integrators, utilities, and industrial customers.

Your mission is to combine strong MV/LV technical understanding with a proactive commercial mindset, helping position Daqo as a trusted, competitive, and technically credible partner for complex infrastructure projects in France.

1. Technical Sales & RFQ Management – 50%

  • Analyze RFQs, tenders, technical specifications, and customer requirements related to MV/LV equipment, substations, E-Houses, transformers, RMUs, and switchgear.
  • Act as a technical point of contact during the pre-sales phase.
  • Clarify customer requirements, installation constraints, grid interfaces, applicable standards, and project-specific assumptions.
  • Structure technical-commercial responses, including scope definition, assumptions, exclusions, deviations, and compliance matrices.
  • Coordinate with Daqo’s solution engineering teams, factories, and supply chain to define optimized technical solutions.
  • Contribute to pricing inputs, lead‑time strategy, delivery approach, and offer positioning.
  • Review technical documentation included in offers, including SLDs, GA drawings, datasheets, technical descriptions, and compliance tables.
  • Participate in technical meetings, clarification sessions, and design reviews with customers.
  • Support the handover from sales to execution teams to ensure technical continuity.

2. New Business Development & Market Expansion – 50%

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities in France across target segments including:
  • BESS projects
  • Grid infrastructure
  • Industrial power distribution
  • Hydrogen and EV charging infrastructure
  • Build and manage a pipeline of new prospects, target accounts, and active opportunities.
  • Proactively approach EPCs, developers, investors, utilities, integrators, consultants, and industrial customers.
  • Open new customer accounts and develop relationships with technical, procurement, and management stakeholders.
  • Organize and lead introductory meetings, technical presentations, customer visits, and follow‑up discussions.
  • Promote Daqo’s value proposition: competitive lead times, industrial capacity, modular substations, MV/LV integration, technical flexibility, and cost competitiveness.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, customer needs, and upcoming projects.
  • Support the Country Manager in defining go‑to‑market priorities, target accounts, and partnership opportunities.
  • Represent Daqo at trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and networking opportunities.
  • Contribute to turning early‑stage leads into qualified RFQs and concrete project opportunities.

Technical Expertise

  • 5–10+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, solution engineering, or project engineering in MV/LV power distribution.
  • Hands‑on understanding of some or all of the following:
  • MV switchgear and RMUs, ideally up to 24 kV or above
  • Power transformers, oil‑type and dry‑type
  • LV switchboards and auxiliaries
  • Prefabricated substations, containerized substations, or E‑Houses
  • MV/LV integration for infrastructure projects
  • Ability to read and understand SLDs, technical specifications, tender documents, datasheets, and compliance matrices.

Market & Application Knowledge

Good understanding of electrical architectures for one or more of the following sectors:

  • Data centers: utility connection, redundancy schemes, MV/LV interfaces, power distribution architecture.
  • PV and BESS projects: step‑up substations, grid connection, protection, metering, and auxiliary systems.
  • Utility / DSO substations: PDL, PDT, customer substations, grid interface requirements.
  • Industrial power networks and critical infrastructure.

Standards & Practices

  • Good knowledge of French and European electrical standards and practices, ideally including Enedis, RTE, NF, IEC, NF C13‑100, NF C13‑200, and NF C15‑100.
  • Ability to identify technical risks, compliance gaps, and clarification points in customer specifications.

Sales & Business Development

  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Comfortable with prospecting, account opening, lead qualification, and pipeline follow‑up.
  • Experience working with EPCs, developers, utilities, engineering firms, integrators, or industrial customers.
  • Ability to translate technical advantages into commercial value for customers.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable interfacing between customers, local management, international factories, and engineering teams.
  • Fluent French and professional English are mandatory.
