Technical Product Owner M/F
As part of its development, Water Horizon is strengthening and structuring its Engineering department and is recruiting a Technical Product Owner. As part of a new position, your main objectives will be to support the technological developments of the Water Horizon project by guaranteeing the value and quality of the product/service throughout its life cycle.

Your challenges:
As part of this new position:
- Implement and structure the Technical Product Owner function within Water Horizon, defining the necessary methods, tools, and rituals to sustainably anchor a product culture.
- Create a cross-functional product culture: Connecting customer, market, technical, and operations.
- Secure the development of thermal batteries from design to market, integrating technical constraints, costs, risks, and industrialization.
- Enhancing product performance in the field: Quality, reliability, standardization, ROI, customer satisfaction.
- Streamline product management: lessons learned, evolutions, arbitration, roadmap, documentation.
Your missions:
Product development management
- Define, maintain, and evolve the functional and technical specifications for thermal batteries.
- Build and drive the product roadmap in alignment with market needs, field feedback, and strategic priorities.
- Propose and arbitrate product evolutions (performance, functionality, standardization, industrialization).
- Ensure cross-functional consistency between engineering, automation, business, and operations.
Market intelligence, monitoring, and product strategy
- Carry out continuous technological and competitive monitoring to anticipate trends, disruptions, and opportunities.
- Translate market needs into product specifications and strategic recommendations.
- Contribute to preparing product positioning (segmentation, competitiveness, differentiation).
Terrain interface & continuous improvement
- Manage the capitalization of lessons learned.
- Gather and analyze user feedback: customers, operations, maintenance, partners.
- Identify, prioritize, and conduct corrective and continuous improvement actions.
- Work closely with field teams to ensure product robustness, reliability, and maintainability.
Product performance monitoring
- Track product KPIs: reliability, costs, margins, ROI, customer satisfaction, operational performance.
- Propose and manage action plans to correct deviations or improve performance.
- Contribute to product standardization to support industrialization and scalability.
Documentation and commercial support
- Build and maintain the product documentation package (technical files, specifications, standards, diagrams, procedures).
- Draft commercial technical documentation: product sheets, sales pitches, presentations, notices.
- Collaborate with business teams to ensure a thorough understanding of the product and consistent messaging with clients.
Internal Team Support
- Support the production, installation, and maintenance teams in their technical understanding of the product.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for complex issues encountered in operations.
- Participate in product to production transfer during industrialization phases.
Your profile:
Required degrees
Master's degree (engineering school or equivalent) in one of the following fields: Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy, Industrial Engineering.Appreciated MBA or MS in Innovation, Product Marketing, or Industrial Management.Certified Product Owner / Product Manager.
Experience
Required experience of 10 years minimum, including
- a successful first experience on a similar function
- and at least one year of professional experience in the energy or chemical sectors
Required skills
Techniques
- Understand physicochemical phenomena (reactions, heat transfer, mass transfer, mass/energy balances).
- Read, interpret, and produce technical documentation (PFD, P&ID, Bill of Materials, Technical Specifications).
- Product ownership: Implementation of PLM methods and tools, product vision and roadmap.
- Project management: cross-functional coordination, planning, document management.
Personal and behavioral
- Ability to communicate with technical profiles and understand complex technological challenges.
- Comfortable in integrated organizations (complete value chain).
- Autonomy, organization, initiative, and prioritization skills.

Compensation:
Between 60 and 75 K€ gross depending on profiles and experience, variable included
