Stage M2 / Biologie / Colon Cancer H/F
Mission:
This Master Thesis internship* will be performed in the Experimental Radiotoxicology and Radiobiology Laboratory (LRTOX) headed by Dmitry Klokov. The successful candidate will be supervised by Guillaume Varès and will work with a postdoc. They will use an inducible CRC mouse model and establish mouse intestinal organoids to study how LDR can potentiate CRC initiation and progression.
* Master 2 or equivalent (Engineering degree, etc.)
The evaluation of cancer risk associated with exposure to low doses of ionizing radiation (LDR) is a major challenge. In this project, the candidate will use an inducible colon cancer mouse model (KPC:APC) and histological analysis to understand how LDR may induce changes in the tumor microenvironment, leading to colon cancer progression. Additional cellular and molecular characterizations will be performed in intestinal organoids.
Profil recherché:
Applicants should have experience in a related area/subject: cancer research, biomedical sciences, cell and molecular biology, radiobiology and/or toxicology. Candidates with previous laboratory experience (particularly in cell and molecular biology) and/or familiarity with murine models and organoids are particularly encouraged to apply.
