Automation Lab Technician/Research Engineer

As an Automation Lab Technician, you'll help design, implement, and validate automated molecular biology workflows, supporting the mission to deliver clinical-grade innovation in oncology.

What you'll do

• Automate
  sample preparation workflows
  for FFPE tissue and molecular biology steps (extraction, purification, quantification, library preparation, etc.) for NGS
• Develop, adapt, and validate automated methods on robotic platforms (Hamilton, SPTlabtech, or equivalent)
• Optimise existing workflows to improve robustness, reproducibility, and throughput
• Write and maintain
  technical documentation
  (SOPs, validation reports, instrument logs)
• Train and support laboratory staff in the use of automated protocols
• Perform first-line maintenance and ensure the proper functioning of automated systems

Who you are

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in
  Biology, Biotechnology, or Biochemistry
• At least
  two years' experience
  in a molecular biology laboratory with proven expertise in protocol automation
• Strong knowledge of
  DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, and NGS library preparation
• Experience with
  automation platforms
  (Hamilton, SPTlabtech, or similar) and scripting tools (Python, VWorks, VENUS, etc.) is an advantage
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and well-organised; thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
• Good command of English and familiarity with
  quality standards
