Sr. Scheduler – Pipeline

Dynamic position in a key critical infrastructure role in the Hawaiian Islands. Experience senior leaders while providing reports, analytics and participating in planning sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily pipeline, chartered barge and tug activities with refinery and contracted operator.
  • Act as the first point of contact with contracted barge operators for all scheduling and cargo operations matters.
  • Translate information from internal supply, marketing groups and external shipping agents into pipeline or voyage orders for operators.
  • Participate daily in meetings, training and other events; provide reports and analytics.
  • Work weekends and holidays as needed; be on call 24/7 for unscheduled work and emergencies.
  • Assist Honolulu pipeline scheduling with oils planning, logistics, marketing and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee ethanol forecasting: collaborate with oils planning, logistics, sales and the Marine Department; update planning sheets weekly; coordinate sampling and testing; generate weekly reports for senior leadership; liaise with 3rd‑party contacts to maintain accurate demand forecasts.
  • Manage utility fuels forecasting: maintain monthly forecasts and inventory; coordinate with oils planning, billing and marketing; support billing; liaise with neighboring terminals and external customers; coordinate sampling and testing.
  • Inventory accounting: maintain spreadsheets for current and future inventory projections; communicate with inventory accountants; provide documentation for SAP; balance inventory at month‑end.

Qualifications

  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Eligibility to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in maritime, business, engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the petroleum industry with duties directly related to bulk transport of petroleum.
  • Previous experience in planning and scheduling petroleum pipeline, ship and/or barge movements desired.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Hiring Range

The hiring range for this position is $113,000 – $133,000 plus non‑discretionary. The candidate selected will be placed according to his or her skills and qualifications.
