Software Engineer (Python/Django) - (F/H/X) - CDI

OPENING FROM KRAKEN TECHNOLOGIES FRANCE – ALL LOCATIONS

What you'll do

• Solve difficult design challenges in a complex, outdated, and process-heavy French energy market, requiring strong domain modeling and detail orientation.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary software engineering team to design, architect, and implement fault‑tolerant solutions for smart meters, writing robust Python and Django applications using Celery, RabbitMQ, SQS, and Airflow.
• Process millions of meter readings daily, leveraging asynchronous processing and advanced data pipelines.
• Contribute to ongoing disruption of the energy market by developing innovative tools that support a transition to decentralized generation and dynamic, real‑time pricing.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver high‑quality, clean code that supports sustainability and climate‑change mitigation initiatives.

Preferred experience

• Python (minimum 7 years of experience)
• Django or equivalent web framework
• Fluent in French and at least level B2 in English
• Domain modeling expertise
• Experience with HTTP and REST APIs
• Knowledge of writing robust, fault‑tolerant software
• Experience with Celery and asynchronous processing
• PostgreSQL database knowledge
• Bonus: AWS, Terraform, Packer, Consul, React, and Redux
