School Counselor and Pastoral Care
Student Support
Offer personal support to students, including counseling, mentoring, and guidance on various issues such as behavioral problems, emotional well‑being, and social difficulties.
Behavior Management
Implement strategies and interventions to address behavioral issues and maintain a positive school environment. This may involve working closely with students and teachers to develop behaviour plans and promote positive behaviour through attending stage meetings.
Attendance and Punctuality
Report frequent student attendance and punctuality to the headteacher, identifying and addressing any issues or patterns of absence.
Well‑Being Programs
Develop and implement well‑being programmes and initiatives that promote positive mental health and well‑being among students. This may involve organising workshops, assemblies, and activities that focus on building resilience, self‑esteem, and emotional intelligence.
Quality Circle Time Programme (QCT)
Integrate QCT programmes into the curriculum or through dedicated lessons to support the social and emotional development of middle school students. Teach skills such as self‑awareness, self‑management, responsible decision‑making, relationship building, and social awareness.
Address Bullying and Conflict Resolution
Implement comprehensive anti‑bullying policies and procedures, conduct regular awareness campaigns, and provide training on conflict resolution and peer mediation. Encourage students to report incidents and create a safe and supportive environment for all.
Well‑Being Surveys
Administer well‑being surveys to gather data on students' emotional well‑being and identify areas that require additional support.
