Sales Executive
At Rains, we are in an exciting phase of growth and development. As we continue to strengthen our international presence, France plays a key role in our overall commercial ambition. We are now looking for a driven and commercially minded Sales Executive to support and expand our wholesale distribution across the French market.
This is a key role for someone who thrives in a hands‑on sales environment — combining relationship‑building, execution, and market development — and who is motivated by creating measurable results through strong partnerships.
The Role
As our new Sales Executive, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of independent wholesale accounts across France. You will take ownership of the full sales cycle — from sell‑in to follow‑up — while identifying new business opportunities and strengthening Rains’ market presence. You operate with a high degree of autonomy, bring energy and structure to your work, and enjoy being on the road building relationships and driving performance.
The position is full‑time, and you will be reporting to the Sales Director in France. Your workplace will be in Paris, but you must expect travelling across France.
Your Overall Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 100 independent wholesale clients
- Own the full sales cycle from sell‑in to follow‑up, including invoicing, deliveries, and payments
- Act as the primary point of contact, building strong and long‑term client relationships
- Drive performance by monitoring sell‑through and ensuring strong in‑store execution
- Maintain frequent client contact and conduct seasonal visits, including product training sessions
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and onboard new clients across the French market
- Drive growth through proactive outreach and strong commercial arguments
- Collaborate with Marketing, Logistics, and Finance to support market expansion and ensure operational alignment
- Contribute with insights, ideas, and structured follow‑up to continuously improve sales performance and execution
The Ideal Profile
You are proactive, energetic, and results‑driven, with a strong sense of ownership. You enjoy working independently while staying closely connected to your team and stakeholders. You bring a commercial mindset combined with a structured and solution‑oriented approach.
We imagine you bring:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar sales or account management role
- Experience working with independent retailers, ideally within fashion or lifestyle
- Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills
- A hands‑on and entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to grow the business
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and processes simultaneously
- Solid organizational and follow‑up skills
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel regularly across France
It is an advantage if you also have:
- Experience with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, or Power BI
