Sales Engineer - Advanced Materials
EPoS Technologies SA is a privately funded company dedicated to the production and development of materials and components with its proprietary electro-sinter-forging technology. Our new way of thinking and practicing sintering allows us to easily process traditional and innovative materials with a new, fast and energetically efficient technology.
Mission
With your engineering background, you build from zero, through application-driven thinking, starting from novel materials and working with partners across long industrial cycles. You act as a key contributor to the business development of the assigned markets with the objective of building strong and scalable B2B businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell advanced materials at customer application level
- Develop assigned markets to drive sales growth
- Identify, meet and develop new customers by positioning new differentiated solutions at customer application level. Create account plans and close deals.
- Build and close business cases from first technical discussion to industrial adoption
- Develop, align and execute structured go-to plan-market plans in close collaboration with management and engineering
- Ensure rigorous commercial execution (projects, pipeline, priorities, forecasts) and follow up on the defined actions
Profile
- Engineering degree (EPFL or HES) in materials, electrical engineering, mechanical, or other engineering fields
- At least 5 years of proven success in a similar commercial role with track records in international B2B technical business development/sales with a structured business development approach
- Multi-market experience, e.g. in industrial applications, powder metallurgy, magnets, semiconductors, high power, electronics, motors design, resistance welding or EDM
- Must have had experience selling solutions where the product is not yet standardized
- Structured and execution-driven, able to manage multiple projects in parallel and drive initiatives through to results
- Strong business mindset, able to understand technology and sell its value at customers at all levels, before closing the deals.
- Collaborative with a strong willingness to co-develop as team
- Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in German and/or French, and/or Italian is a significant advantage
- The Position is based on site in Villaz-St-Pierre (Switzerland), near Fribourg (30 minutes from Bern and Lausanne) with around 25% travel to customers worldwide
