Regulatory compliance
We are looking for a Senior Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team and ensure that our industrial projects meet the highest regulatory and certification standards.
- Establish, maintain, and implement project procedures related to regulatory compliance
- Ensure adequate reporting to project management
- Serve as a key point of contact between the operations centers for regulatory activities, and ensure that all information from Huston is received for enhanced coordination within the Paris operations center. Establish and maintain coordination of workflows between centers.
- Support disciplines in local and national regulatory requirements and inform the project of regulations impacting each phase, helping to clarify issues as needed. Consolidate and track information.
- Ensure the development and implementation of the regulatory compliance plan.
- Establish and maintain a registry of authorizations.
- Support disciplines in the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of FERC conditions.
- Consolidate all data related to labeling, stamping, and import requirements and support the discipline in monitoring activities.
- Ensure that all required compliance activities are performed by contractors and suppliers.
- Serve as the internal and external point of contact for the above activities.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in regulatory compliance for large-scale EPC onshore projects in Oil & Gas or Renewable Energy sectors.
- You are also familiar with the regulatory and technical specificities of LNG projects in the United States, particularly in the state of Louisiana.
- In-depth knowledge of the local regulatory framework—including FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) requirements, equipment labeling standards, and certifications required for professional engineers—is essential.
- Previous experience on similar projects in the United States, or failing that in Canada (where regulatory approaches are comparable), is an essential asset for this position.
- You have a good understanding of the certification process, as well as the roles, responsibilities, and boundaries between suppliers, subcontractors, contractors, and clients.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of French or other languages is a plus.
- A good understanding of technical safety is an asset.
