Regional Field Sales Manager
Regional Sales Manager France
Paris — Field Based
Team description
France is one of SumUp's most important growth markets, and the field sales team is at the heart of how we win it. Right now, we’re building out the regional leadership layer that will power our next phase of scale — and this role sits right at the centre of that ambition. As Regional Sales Manager, you’ll lead a team of Territory Managers across France, shaping how we recruit, coach, and grow a high‑performing field sales organisation that puts small businesses first.
This isn’t a role for someone who wants to manage from a distance. You’ll be out in the field alongside your team, setting the standard, closing deals personally, and building the kind of sales culture that retains great people and drives consistent revenue.
What you’ll do
- Lead and develop a team of 3–5 Territory Managers, supporting them in recruiting and activating field sales consultants across their respective territories
- Own regional revenue targets, ensuring your team consistently hits and exceeds monthly acquisition goals (€50k+ in new monthly net revenue)
- Build and embed a high‑performance sales culture through regular coaching, performance reviews, and hands‑on field engagement
- Design and roll out regional sales toolkits, pitchbooks, and materials that Territory Managers can put to work immediately
- Partner with the Head of Sales France and cross‑functional teams to refine field sales processes, pricing frameworks, and strategy for the French market
- Keep key stakeholders informed with clear progress reports, KPI updates, and competitive insights from the field
You’ll be great for this role if…
- Proven experience leading multi‑level field sales teams, including managing managers, within a fast‑moving commercial environment
- Strong knowledge of merchant services, payments, or point‑of‑sale solutions and how to sell them effectively
- A track record of coaching sales leaders to build, ramp, and retain high‑performing teams
- Comfort working in a field‑based, highly autonomous role where presence, pace, and adaptability are essential
- Fluency in French and English, with the ability to communicate clearly with both frontline teams and senior stakeholders
Why you should join SumUp
- Opportunity to work with a truly global, multicultural team from our Paris location. This involves an office‑first setup
- Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: be part of a workplace that values and promotes diversity, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone's perspectives are respected and embraced
