Your mission
As a QA/QC Engineer – Suppliers (Inspection & Expediting) , you will play a key role in securing supplier performance, quality, and delivery commitments across EPC projects.
You will act as the single point of accountability for assigned Purchase Orders, coordinating inspection and expediting activities to ensure compliance with project requirements, schedules, and quality standards.
Your responsibilities
- Coordinate all shop expediting and inspection activities in support of the Lead Shop Coordinator.
- Act as the single point of accountability for assigned Purchase Orders, managing interfaces with the Project team.
- Lead the review and resolution of any pending issues impacting supplier performance or PO execution.
- Define inspection and expediting levels based on Project Criticality Analysis.
- Prepare and issue assignment requests for Shop Expeditors and Inspectors with Resource Management support.
Schedule & progress monitoring
- Verify that Vendor production schedules are issued on time and properly cover all activities (engineering, drawings submission, sub-orders, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and delivery).
- Analyze and comment on Suppliers’ Monthly Progress Reports and Shop Expediting Reports prior to distribution.
- Identify critical paths and risks that could impact delivery dates, coordinating checks with Delivery Managers and Construction priorities.
Inspection management & reporting
- Organize and attend Hand Over Meetings with Vendors and Inspectors (on-site or remote).
- Attend recurring Expediting and Inspection meetings (Post-Order, Vendor meetings, Project Management meetings).
- Prepare and issue required inspection and expediting reports for the Project.
- Maintain and consolidate the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) Register for all suppliers and packages.
- Manage the Vendor Inspection Schedule , with regular updates.
- Maintain the Inspection Notifications Log .
- Compile Inspection Reports (IRN / IRR) issued at Vendors’ workshops.
- Track and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCR Register) .
- Manage Punch List Registers following inspections and fabrication.
- Prepare Weekly and Monthly Inspection Status Reports .
- Compile Final Inspection Dossiers (Vendor Data Books – VDB) for each package.
Your profile
Education: Bachelor’s degree minimum in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Engineering or equivalent; Business or Management background also acceptable.
Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in Inspection, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Expediting, and/or Project Management.
Technical expertise
- Proven leadership in inspection and quality activities for packages such as PVHE, packages, piping/valves, E&I, and Long Lead Items (LLI).
- Experience with Material Management Systems (e.g. Smart Materials – Intergraph ).
Languages
Professional level of spoken and written English.
