Your mission

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for procuring project materials and services in line with project requirements, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, supplier performance, and compliance with Supply Chain Management processes.

You will act as the single point of contact with suppliers for the purchase orders assigned to you, from RFQ issuance to delivery, documentation close‑out, and supplier performance evaluation.

Your responsibilities

  • Procure project materials and services, including incorporable items and installation aids.
  • Propose bidders lists based on approved supplier lists and the project SCM strategy.
  • Issue RFQs to bidders using procurement tools such as SAP Ariba .
  • Perform commercial, contractual, and schedule analysis of bids.
  • Integrate technical evaluations from Engineering, QA/QC, and HSE teams.
  • Finalize bid summaries and provide recommendations to the Project SCM Manager.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to secure the best overall purchasing conditions.

Purchase order management

  • Prepare and submit supplier commitment approvals.
  • Create and obtain approval for purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP .
  • Organize and lead kick‑off meetings with vendors.
  • Ensure vendor instructions related to documentation and purchase order administration are clearly understood.
  • Manage change order requests, negotiations, and approvals.
  • Ensure delivery of materials, services, and documentation in line with time, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Expedite supplier documentation and regularly review the Supplier Documentation Register.
  • Follow up technical queries and deviations with suppliers until closure.
  • Attend pre‑production meetings and ensure all required documentation is available with the right approval level.
  • Monitor manufacturing progress and alert the Project SCM Manager of any risk of late delivery.
  • Prepare recovery plans when needed.

Inspection, QC & logistics coordination

  • Receive and forward supplier inspection calls to the project QC engineer and, when applicable, to the client.
  • Monitor inspection progress and ensure inspection reports are received, reviewed, approved, and logged.Maintain close coordination with QC teams to anticipate schedule impacts linked to quality issues.
  • Attend expediting visits and meetings when required.
  • Ensure release notes are issued when all conditions are met.
  • Prepare shipment documentation for the transit agent and support anticipation of goods release.

Contract close‑out & supplier performance

  • Review supplier correspondence and take necessary actions.
  • Expedite the issuance and approval of the supplier data book.
  • Check supplier invoices and final accounts.
  • Obtain close‑out certificates from suppliers.
  • Perform supplier performance evaluations at the end of the scope.

Your profile

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or project SCM within EPC, offshore, energy, or industrial projects.
  • Experience managing suppliers, purchase orders, RFQs, commercial negotiations, and vendor documentation.
  • Exposure to international supply chains and technical procurement environments is highly appreciated.

Technical skills

  • Strong knowledge of procurement and SCM processes.
  • Good understanding of contractual and commercial principles.
  • Experience with expediting, logistics coordination, supplier documentation, and inspection workflows.
  • Ability to manage schedules, budgets, risks, and forecasting activities.Technical awareness of project materials, equipment, or services in an industrial environment.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Rigorous, autonomous, and proactive mindset.Strong interface management with suppliers, engineering, QC, logistics, and project teams.
  • Ability to identify risks and propose recovery plans.
