Private Equity Intern, Secondaries at Mantra Investment Partners

Mantra is a leading investment firm focusing on underserved private equity strategies. It targets opportunities in Secondary Transactions in and alongside niche private equity funds investing on a global scale. Mantra is based in Paris with offices in New York and Luxembourg. Mantra’s secondary Funds are ranked top quartile as of June 2025 with its flagship Fund in the top 5% worldwide.

Mantra is looking to re-enforce its investment team to develop diverse strategies. For this purpose, Mantra is looking for an intern for 6 months starting in January/Februarywith the possibility to convert full-time.

• Analyze secondary transaction opportunities: market & competitive landscape, business model, due diligence, modelling & valuation, drafting supporting documents for the investment committee
• Discuss news and points of view with investment managers on a daily basis
• Prepare investment proposals for the investment team
• You will benefit from a comprehensive experience, mainly due to the diversity of the analyzed opportunities (sector, industry and geography agnostic investments)

Candidate profile:

• Business or scientific background from Tier 1 university
• Specialization in finance and interest in corporate finance & financial markets
• Prior experience in M&A, audit, private equity or top-tier management consulting is advantageous
• Fluency in English is mandatory, other languages are a plus (French, Spanish, German, etc.)
• Work experience in a foreign country would be an asset
• Dynamic, curious and rigorous with excellent capacity for synthesis and analysis
• An entrepreneurial mind-set and a proactive approach

Practical Information:

• Remuneration: €1,800 per month + benefits (lunch vouchers €11 per working day, 50% refund of the transportation card)
