Pricing Analyst
Role overview
The role of the Senior Pricing Analyst is to help drive margin improvement across the Calderys EMEA business – 3 different business segments and various countries (c. 100 sales org, 3500 products, 2000 customers, €600M annual revenue). You will be responsible for leading in-depth pricing analysis and developing models that optimize profitability and competitiveness across our products. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to ensure pricing decisions align with company goals and market dynamics. As a key member of our newly established Pricing Department, you will play an active role in the implementation of new pricing tools such as Vendavo and Power BI Dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute pricing strategies to drive revenue growth and margin expansion.
- Build and maintain pricing models, assess pricing impact and support decision-making processes.
- Monitor pricing performance metrics set during the budget process, including margin analysis and pricing effectiveness.
- Conduct scenario analysis and elasticity modelling to evaluate the impact of pricing changes.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership on pricing trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Ensure pricing governance and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, and Sales to address significant variances in underlying cost drivers of the price database, such as raw material market forecasts and internal raw material costs.
- A new pricing tool will go live in Q4 2025; this role will be crucial in its roll-out and maintenance.
- Continuously enhance pricing tools to strengthen our value proposition and competitive positioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or strategy, preferably in a B2B or B2C environment.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills with the ability to manage/interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Understanding of business drivers and market dynamics (e.g., steel, automotive, construction) and expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong financial and commercial knowledge, particularly in profit and loss, and margin/price decision-making. Proven experience in pricing roles.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate cross-functionally and influence decision-making processes.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in pricing analysis and modelling.
- Familiarity with pricing tools or software (e.g., Vendavo, Zilliant, Salesforce) is a plus.
