Partner / Director – Working Capital & Cash Performance

Location: Paris or Lyon

We are supporting a highly regarded international strategy and management consulting firm with approximately 1,200 employees globally in the appointment of a senior leader within its Working Capital & Cash Performance practice.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Partner or commercially proven Director to take a senior role in developing and delivering complex cash, liquidity and working capital transformation programmes for major organisations.

Areas of expertise

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience across several of the following:

  • Cash Recovery
  • Cash Flow Optimisation
  • Working Capital Forecasting
  • Cash Flow Forecasting
  • Liquidity Management
  • Treasury
  • Cash Management
  • Cash Conversion
  • Order-to-Cash / O2C
  • Procure-to-Pay / P2P
  • Receivables and Payables Optimisation
  • Working Capital Transformation
  • Performance Improvement

Technology exposure: Experience with working capital, Order-to-Cash or cash application platforms such as Sidetrade or Esker would be highly beneficial, particularly where the candidate has led technology-enabled cash and working capital transformation programmes.

The successful candidate does not need to specialise exclusively in one area. We are particularly interested in well-rounded cash and working capital professionals who can identify opportunities, advise senior clients and lead programmes from diagnosis through implementation.

The profile

Candidates should:

  • Currently work within a management consulting or advisory firm
  • Be operating at Director, Managing Director or Partner level
  • Have strong experience advising large corporate and/or private equity clients
  • Have demonstrable commercial experience, including winning work and developing senior client relationships
  • Be comfortable combining strategic advice with hands-on implementation
  • Have experience leading teams and complex transformation programmes
  • Understand how technology and automation can be used to improve working capital and cash performance

Candidates from the Big Four, leading restructuring and performance improvement firms, and specialist strategy or operational consulting boutiques are particularly relevant.

The opportunity

The firm has approximately 1,200 employees globally and combines the scale and international reach of a larger consultancy with the entrepreneurial environment of a specialist firm.

The culture is deliberately low ego and non-hierarchical , with senior people given significant autonomy to develop client relationships, build teams and shape their own business.

The position offers:

  • Significant autonomy and direct access to senior leadership
  • The opportunity to build and grow a significant practice
  • Highly competitive compensation
  • Equity participation
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial and low-politics culture

This opportunity would particularly suit someone who wants the platform and resources of an established international consultancy without the bureaucracy typically associated with a much larger organisation.
