As our Media & PR Lead, you’ll be part of the Commercial team working closely with brilliant people across the business and reporting into the Senior Marketing Manager. You’ll be right at the heart of fast‑moving projects that shape how we show up for our consumers - today and tomorrow.
Where You Contribute
Lead the development and execution of media and PR strategies that amplify Dr. Martens’ brand presence and cultural relevance in your market. This role builds meaningful connections with consumers through compelling storytelling, influencer engagement, and media partnerships, ensuring alignment with global frameworks while tailoring initiatives to local cultural contexts. You will position Dr. Martens as a brand rooted in rebellious youth culture and Alternative Craft, driving awareness, desirability, and advocacy.
Core Accountabilities
- Developing and delivering local PR and media strategies aligned to global brand frameworks, ensuring culturally relevant storytelling and impactful brand positioning.
- Building and managing relationships with key media, influencers, and cultural partners, including product placements, collaborations and brand amplification opportunities.
- Leading local PR initiatives such as press events, product launches, festivals, and cultural activations, managing external PR agencies to deliver against brand and commercial objectives.
- Executing influencer and media content plans in line with global guidelines, collaborating cross‑functionally with marketing, retail and e‑commerce teams for integrated campaigns.
- Monitoring and reporting on PR performance, tracking KPIs including awareness, engagement and sentiment, while supporting sustainability and community initiatives.
Key Skills & Capabilities
- Proven PR and media expertise within fashion, lifestyle or cultural sectors, with strong experience in influencer marketing and media partnerships.
- Deep cultural insight and storytelling ability, crafting compelling narratives that strengthen brand identity and resonate with local audiences.
- Digitally savvy, with strong knowledge of social platforms and influencer engagement strategies to drive brand visibility.
- Excellent relationship builder and collaborator, able to manage agencies, media and cross‑functional stakeholders while delivering creative activations.
- Data‑driven and highly organised, skilled in campaign performance analysis, project management and delivering multiple initiatives within timelines and budgets, with fluency in English and local language.
