PR & Communications Manager or Director
Citizens of Humanity Group – the Los Angeles based fashion house behind Citizens of Humanity and AGOLDE – is seeking a PR & Communications Manager or Director based in Paris to lead communications and marketing initiatives across the French market while supporting the broader European brand strategy.
This role will play a key part in elevating brand visibility, shaping brand perception, and driving cultural relevance across the European landscape. Working closely with teams in Los Angeles, New York, and London, this position will help guide the continued evolution of the brands across both women’s and men’s collections as Citizens of Humanity and AGOLDE expand beyond denim into a modern ready-to-wear offering.
The ideal candidate is highly connected within the Paris fashion ecosystem and able to strategically position the brands within the right cultural, editorial, and retail conversations.
Key Responsibilities
PR Strategy & Brand Positioning
Develop and lead integrated PR and marketing strategies for the French market, ensuring alignment with global brand initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and product launches. Position Citizens of Humanity and AGOLDE across both men’s and women’s collections within key fashion, cultural, and sustainability narratives.
Press Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with editors, journalists, stylists, influencers, and key opinion leaders. Lead press pitching, editorial placements, long‑lead strategy, celebrity and influencer seeding, and media outreach across print, digital, and social platforms.
Marketing & Brand Storytelling
Partner with global marketing teams to bring brand campaigns and storytelling to life within the European market. Support localized marketing initiatives including retail activations, digital content, influencer collaborations, and community engagement.
Paris Fashion Week & Press Days
Lead and manage Paris press days during Paris Fashion Week, anchoring the brand’s presence within the market calendar and coordinating appointments with editors, stylists, and key retail partners.
Events & Brand Activations
Concept and execute press previews, brand activations, retail pop‑ups, and cultural events that elevate brand awareness and strengthen relationships with press, industry leaders, clients and the broader creative community.
Retail Partnerships
Develop strong relationships with key European retailers, working closely with their marketing, PR, and personal shopping teams to amplify brand storytelling through events, editorial opportunities, and retail marketing programs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with global marketing, PR, creative, and digital teams to ensure European initiatives align with the broader brand calendar. Work alongside the Paris sales team to strengthen visibility and storytelling across key accounts.
About You
- 7-10+ years of experience in fashion PR or marketing/communications (agency or in‑house)
- Deep network of editors, stylists, journalists, influencers, and cultural tastemakers across Europe
- Strong understanding of the Paris fashion industry and European media landscape
- Experience leading press days, events, and brand activations
- Strategic thinker with strong creative and cultural instincts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Passion for brand storytelling, fashion, and the evolving cultural landscape
