Opportunity
Opportunity – Materials & Welding Engineer (Subsea / Oil & Gas) – As part of a major offshore project, we are looking for an experienced Materials & Welding Engineer to support critical activities related to subsea systems.
Location: Paris
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical focal point for welding and materials engineering
- Review and approve WPS / PQR
- Ensure compliance with project standards, quality, and HSE requirements
- Support fabrication activities and resolve technical issues
- Interface with project teams, inspectors, and suppliers
- Participate in FAT / SIT and installation follow-up
- Contribute to risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
Technical Requirements
- Strong experience in welding engineering and metallurgy
- Proficiency in welding processes: TIG, MIG/MAG, SMAW, FCAW, SAW
- Solid knowledge of materials: carbon steels, stainless steels, duplex/super duplex, nickel alloys (e.g. Inconel)
- Expertise in corrosion mechanisms: HIC, SCC, galvanic corrosion, pitting
- Good command of international standards: ASME IX, API, DNV, ISO, NACE
- Experience with NDT methods (UT, RT, MPI, DPI) and result interpretation
Project Environment
- Subsea Production Systems (SPS)
- Complex industrial and offshore environments
- Strong focus on HSE and quality standards
Requirements
Profile :
- Engineering background with significant experience in Oil & Gas / Subsea
- Hands-on experience in fabrication yards is a plus
- Ability to work in an international project environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills
