The Global PR and VIP Relations Officer for MM6 manages and enhances the brand’s public image through strategic communication, PR & VIP campaigns, media relations, crisis communications, and consistent messaging across channels. The role involves reporting on the performance of PR and VIP activities, analyzing media coverage, and providing insights to optimize future strategies.
Job responsibilities
- Support global editorial and VIP requests for MM6.
- Coordinate and respond proactively to all editorial requests in a timely manner.
- Prioritize editorials and supply of samples to optimize coverage.
- Cultivate, foster, and maintain strong relationships with assistants, editors, stylists and their assistants across print and digital publications.
- Maintain weekly activity reports of samples sent.
- Schedule, facilitate, and handle editor and stylist appointments as necessary.
- Ensure samples are returned in favorable condition and liaise with publications on invoicing and repairs for damaged or lost items.
Seasonal MM6 shows / films & pre‑collection presentations
- Support MM6 Global Senior PR Officer on fashion show logistics: seating, backstage, film/photo, interviews, VIP dressing, accommodations, fittings, and assembling reviews.
- Support and implement global roll‑out plans for film releases.
- Organise and support press attendance at pre‑collection presentations and secure coverage.
- Coordinate with international press offices to brief on seasonal roll‑out strategies and supervise sample shipments to and from international offices.
International PR agencies
- Attend and contribute to briefings with international PR offices and agencies to keep them informed on HQ plans for MM6, product pushes, and sample status.
- Liaise with international PR offices and agencies to ensure all press targets and execution are on‑brand.
- Manage dispatch and return of duplicate collections to and from international offices.
VIP & celebrities
- Profile and research VIPs and celebrities for event coverage.
- Provide fittings and support brand‑appropriate celebrity placements and dressing for MM6.
Editorial VIP coverage / product & news placements
- Proactively work on fashion placements and stay informed on stories and trends magazines are covering.
- Pitch product placements to global senior PR officer and distribute approved press releases and brand imagery to international offices, press, and stylists.
Lookbooks
- Distribute seasonal digital lookbooks to relevant editors, stylists, and international offices.
Samples
- Order and execute seasonal press sample sets.
- Manage sample trafficking teams, ensuring samples are well maintained and shipping procedures are streamlined.
- Support global senior PR officer to ensure optimal use of samples for top‑tier magazines and celebrities.
Showroom & shopping area
- Supervise showroom and shipping teams, communicating deadlines, recipient addresses, pro‑formas, etc.
- Maintain samples in favorable condition.
- Ensure shipping procedures are streamlined and handle invoicing for lost or damaged samples.
Credit information
- Ensure proper credit information for MM6 is relayed to all requesting publications.
Collaborations MM6
- Support global senior PR officer for celebrity seeding of MM6 x collaboration products.
- Reach out to VIPs, agents, and collect necessary information for seedings.
Reporting
- Generate and assemble reports for all product categories including MM/MM6, special projects, VIP and collaborations.
- Distribute weekly and monthly reports in the correct format to necessary recipients, containing all relevant information.
- Oversee intern in tracking published and forthcoming credits and managing monthly editorial credit report.
- Run monthly editorial and competitive analysis reports using DMR, and work proactively on increasing year‑over‑year coverage.
- Produce and send weekly press clippings to OTB and suitable international stakeholders, and coordinate with head of PR for editorial recaps.
Seeding
- Compile list of key press, influencers, and VIPs who should receive gifts to optimise coverage and results.
- Coordinate with teams to receive gifts and ship them in a timely manner.
In‑store events, store openings
- Support global senior PR officer to obtain press coverage of in‑store events and store openings.
Competitive & industry
- Stay up‑to‑date on industry trends, editorial changes, and competitors’ initiatives.
Other
- Pitch magazines and editorial sites for product push.
- Pitch MM6 event coverage to editorial sites.
Miscellaneous
- Interact with studio and merch to loan pieces for fittings, retrieve prototypes, etc.
Skills and experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience in crafting press releases, articles, and social media content.
- Expertise in media relations and building connections with journalists, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Experience in developing and executing PR campaigns and managing brand reputation.
- Proven ability to handle crisis communication and maintain a positive public image.
- Knowledge of digital PR strategies and social media platforms to enhance brand visibility.
- Strong analytical skills for tracking PR performance, media coverage, and providing actionable insights.
- Fluent French and English required; Italian a plus.
