Compensation: €46,000 to €65,000 per year depending on profile and experience
Your mission
As a Lead Vessel Operations Engineer, you will play a central role in the preparation and execution of offshore installation campaigns, including deepwater projects. You will support project operations from the office phase through offshore execution, acting as a key technical and operational interface between engineering teams, asset departments, subcontractors, and installation vessels.
Your responsibilities
Offshore operations preparation
- Prepare offshore installation campaigns from the office, covering technical, operational, and logistical aspects.
- Support the Project Operations Manager on installation‑related topics, including planning, logistics, and coordination.
- Review engineering deliverables and installation methods.
- Track installation equipment, tools, and installation aids readiness.
Vessel & subcontractor coordination
- Contribute to the preparation of installation vessels, including procurement of equipment and subcontractor management.
- Manage interfaces with project discipline engineers and ASSET department teams.
- Coordinate subcontractors involved in offshore installation activities.
Operational readiness & risk management
- Participate in risk analyses, operational readiness reviews, and offshore operation assessments.
- Coordinate the mobilization of all required resources for offshore campaigns.
Onshore & offshore execution support
- Perform site visits to fabrication yards and logistics bases to follow up on loading operations and equipment preparation.
- Participate in offshore campaigns, embarking on installation vessels according to defined rotations.
- Support offshore execution of subsea installations, including:
- Laying of flexible lines and umbilicals.
Your profile
- Education: Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
- Experience: Strong experience in offshore operations, ideally in deepwater projects.
- Technical expertise: Subsea installation operations, Flexible and umbilical laying campaigns, Offshore vessel operations.
- Skills: Ability to interface efficiently with multidisciplinary engineering teams and asset departments; solid subcontractor and contractor management capabilities.
- Soft skills: Autonomous, structured, proactive, and team‑oriented.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel and work offshore with vessel rotations.
