Investment Banking - Vice President, France M&A - Paris

This position sits within J.P. Morgan’s leading Investment Banking M&A team, based in Paris. This is a new and exciting opportunity to further grow a new business vertical in France focused on large‑cap deals in close partnership with country, industry, and other product teams, in particular with the local Investment Banking and Global Corporate Banking teams.

As a Vice President on the France M&A team, you will partner with colleagues in industry and product teams to originate and execute the full spectrum of corporate finance transactions including public takeovers, private buy‑side and sell‑side transactions and corporate carve‑outs.

Job responsibilities

• Act as the primary day‑to‑day client point of contact and lead banker on deals
• Review and coordinate the analytic work of junior bankers to advance the marketing/execution process
• Train junior bankers to enhance their skills and performance
• Refine marketing and execution materials for maximum client impact
• Oversee the creation of financial projection models.
• Identify and manage all risks in a given deal
• Liaise with other internal and external parties on transactions (e.g., lawyers, accountants, counterparties)
• Lead client negotiations, Q&A processes, and management interviews

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Fluency in French
• Relevant M&A Investment Banking experience and knowledge of France market
• Outstanding financial analysis and modelling skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Solid communication and project management skills
• In-depth understanding of investment banking products
• Experience dealing with clients and other transactional partners
• Proficient in MS office applications and experience of Bloomberg and Factset
