Internship : Private Equity Infrastructure Analyst – Energy Transition

DESCRIPTION OF THE MISSION
The role of a trainee analyst is to evaluate projects related to the energy transition in all their aspects, from financial modeling to technical and legal analysis of companies and assets.
You will be part of the energy transition investment team. This high exposure position will allow you to be responsible and involved in a wide variety of assignments:
- Analysis of investment opportunities.
- Participation in the due diligence process (market analysis, financial modelling, valuation, meetings with management).
- Execution of investments: summary of technical, legal and tax audits, financial structuring, preparation of legal documentation.
- Monitoring of investments: execution of post-closing operations, quarterly reporting, analysis of exit scenarios.
- Monitoring of energy transition markets.
- Drafting of various notes for the management team.
In the course of his/her work, the trainee analyst will be in contact with the team (front, middle and back office), the advisors mandated by RIVE (lawyers, technical experts, financial advisors, etc.), the financing banks and the counterparties (management, M&A advisors, co-investors, etc.).
PROFILE REQUIRED
Education / experience:
- Master’s degree: leading engineering and/or business school.
- Previous experience in project finance, energy, private equity, M&A.
Competencies:
- Solid financial and accounting knowledge.
- Ability to analyse and synthesise, ability to work in a team.
- Fluent in English and French (written and oral fluency). Fluency in other languages appreciated.
- Autonomy, curiosity, rigour, and organisation.
- Interest in the energy transition.
