Under the responsibility of Sales Support Manager and/or Commercial Project Director, the Sales Support Engineer plays a cross‑functional role between sales, technical, technology and execution teams to ensure the delivery of unit offers and process line offers in the sectors covered by GEA Nutrition Plant Engineering. The main mission is to analyze, study, design, cost, describe and promote technical solutions within the framework of the sale of food‑processing equipment, mainly for the dairy industry. The individual ensures that the proposed solutions comply with GEA standards by relying on Centers of Competence and respecting internal procedures.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Analyze and formalize client needs in collaboration with sales teams.
  • Lead an initial project of revamping or turnkey that may involve multiple sister entities.
  • Design the technical solution: mass balance, pipeline sizing, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, etc.
  • Define and lead the engineering office for the creation of process diagrams and implementation.
  • Collaborate with various services (Execution, group Centers of Competence) to validate the technical solution.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subcontractors to optimize cost estimates.
  • Identify and anticipate technical and contextual risks of the project.
  • Prepare the cost estimate, schedule and the technical and commercial offer.
  • Validate quality and cost of offers before submission to the client.
  • Follow and comply with internal reporting and cost estimation processes.
  • Develop reliable technical solutions in cooperation with internal services (Commercial, Supply Chain, Execution, Centers of Competence, etc.).
  • Be able to travel to clients to present and defend the technical solution.
  • Provide technical advisory role to our clients.
  • Participate in the development of the service: internal tools, technological watch, knowledge capture, etc.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Graduate from an engineering school or a technical Bac+5 training (process engineering, mechanical, food technology, etc.).
  • Confirmed experience of 5 to 10 years in pre‑sales or industrial project management.
  • Solid knowledge of industrial processes and associated technologies, especially in the dairy sector.
  • Mastery of project management tools.
  • Aptitude to work collaboratively and to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Interest for selling technical solutions.
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize tasks, rigor, synthesis spirit and resistance to stress.
  • Professional English required.
