We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our teams in Switzerland and support technical investment projects, process improvements, and plant modification activities on site. The position is a permanent contract (CDI) and a consultant role within our Life Sciences experts (not a contractor).
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of small to medium-sized investment projects with direct impact on current production and business performance.
- Manage projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with technical, operational, cost, and timeline requirements.
- Perform process engineering calculations and contribute to plant optimization initiatives.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new installations or revamps of existing plants, including cost estimation, scheduling, and functional assessment.
- Support the planning, execution, and follow-up of production adjustments and new product launches.
- Develop and compare technical solution concepts, with clear evaluation of advantages, disadvantages, and project feasibility.
- Coordinate the necessary internal and external resources to ensure timely and professional project delivery.
- Follow up on project execution and ensure that activities are delivered according to budget, deadlines, and expected functionality.
- Contribute to the optimization of process flows and support the implementation of technical improvements on site.
- Ensure proper knowledge transfer and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Use engineering and project management tools on a daily basis, including Aspen Plus / HYSYS for process simulation, AutoCAD for P&IDs, COMOS for plant engineering documentation, SAP (PM/MM) for maintenance and cost tracking, and MS Project / Excel for planning and reporting.
Your Profile
- Technical Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Technology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project engineering, technical project management, or process-related industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of process engineering, plant modifications, and technical project execution in an industrial environment.
- Experience with feasibility studies, cost estimation, scheduling, and technical coordination.
- Ability to develop practical technical solutions and support their implementation in collaboration with site teams.
- Good command of engineering and project tools such as Aspen Plus / HYSYS, AutoCAD, COMOS, SAP, MS Project, and Excel.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Fluent in English and good command of German (B1/B2), both written and spoken.
