We are seeking a highly motivated Industrial CAPEX Controller to oversee and manage capital expenditure across large scale, technically complex industrial projects. Operating in a capital intensive environment, you will ensure the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of all CAPEX related financial data while supporting project teams in strategic decision making.
This role requires strong analytical capability, financial rigour, and the ability to work autonomously within a fast growing, multi project environment. You will act as the key link between investment projects and accounting, ensuring financial governance, transparency, and operational excellence.
Key Missions
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- Ensure correct classification of expenses (CAPEX vs OPEX)
- Monitor assets under construction and project progress
- Contribute to monthly and annual closings, including CAPEX accruals
- Manage asset commissioning, component allocation, and depreciation plans
- Track disposals, transfers, impairments, and write offs
- Internal Control & Compliance (SOX Environment)
- Implement and execute SOX controls related to CAPEX
- Document processes, controls, and financial workflows
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal control frameworks
- Own monthly CAPEX cash out forecasts (M+1, M+2)
- Ensure accurate financial monitoring of CAPEX (budget, costs, timelines)
- Validate purchase orders and track financial commitments
- Support project teams with financial insights and decision making
- Reporting & Tools
- Produce monthly CAPEX reports (paid CAPEX, asset variation tables, dashboards)
- Use and enhance financial tools (ERP, project tools, BI platforms)
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives (process optimisation, new tools, construction modules)
Scope of Responsibility
- Industrial construction projects, technical investments, maintenance CAPEX, and IT investments
- Significant CAPEX envelope (over €1.3bn on balance sheet; approx. €250m/year)
- Accounting frameworks: Local GAAP & IFRS (quarterly consolidation)
- SOX internal control environment

What are we looking for?
Education
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial standards
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Experience with Data Lake tools (Snowflake) and Power BI is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to synthesise complex financial data
- Autonomous, proactive, and solution oriented
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- Strong team spirit and collaborative mindset
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
