HR Generalist
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR professional to join a high-performing, fast-paced environment supporting the Paris office of a leading Hedge Fund. This role will act as the primary HR contact on the ground in Paris, partnering closely with business leaders and regional teams to deliver end-to-end HR support. With a population of approximately 50 employees locally and a wider regional footprint. While there is some operational support in place, this role is intended to provide a dedicated, visible HR presence to the business.
The Role
This is a true generalist position, supporting the full employee lifecycle and working closely with senior stakeholders across investment and corporate functions. You will collaborate with regional HR colleagues and leadership teams, while also building strong relationships locally to ensure effective, responsive HR support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary HR point of contact for the Paris office
- Supporting hiring activity and recruitment processes in partnership with relevant teams
- Advising managers on performance management, employee relations, and day-to-day people matters
- Leading year-end processes, including performance reviews and compensation discussions
- Supporting sensitive conversations, including leave management and exits
- Partnering with stakeholders across different business areas
- Collaborating closely with regional HR and operational teams to ensure consistency and alignment
- Providing occasional support to other European locations as needed, including occasional travel where required
About You:
- Proven experience in an HR generalist or HR manager role within a fast-paced, complex environment
- Strong employee relations experience and confidence supporting senior stakeholders
- Comfortable operating independently as the key HR contact in a location
- Pragmatic, solutions-focused, and highly responsive
- Strong understanding of employment practices (French employment law knowledge beneficial)
- Ability to build credibility quickly and work across multiple business areas
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension or longer-term consideration and will offer a competitive salary and benefits.
