HR Business Partner Switzerland
Role Context: The HR Business Partner develops and implements both long‑term and short‑term strategies that align structure, culture, and talent with business goals, providing individual support and coaching for the Swiss area.
They offer expertise and guidance in areas such as HR and business strategy alignment, organizational design, workforce planning, employee engagement, and culture and change management. The role fosters a positive and inclusive work environment as a competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop a people strategy aligned with global and regional strategies.
- Collaborate with business leadership on talent management, organizational design, strategic workforce planning, and culture development.
- Partner/broker with HR COEs and functional HRBPs to ensure implementation of aligned strategies, programs, and processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent.
- Own key HR metrics (recruitment, development, retention, etc.) for client groups, perform deep dives, and develop appropriate countermeasures.
- Lead talent assessment in the organization, identifying key employee strengths and development needs to select, retain, and develop key talent.
- Lead succession planning and talent development strategies, identifying critical roles and preparing potential talent pipelines.
- Drive and sustain key processes around engagement, including analysis, communication, feedback, and action planning.
- Lead client groups through critical HR operating rhythms such as merit & bonus planning, performance management, and Talent Review.
- Serve as escalation point for complex case management and provide expert advice to managers on employee issues including discipline and grievance.
- Work with leaders and managers to professionally execute corporate policies and HR programs ensuring appropriate quality, delivery, and cost.
- Partner and manage local labor and employee relations, ensuring legal compliance.
- Serve as a member of the Swiss leadership team, the pension foundation board, and the works council.
Professional Experience / Qualification
- Co‑create, implement, and execute programs to support the business and people strategy.
- Have a degree and/or the eidgenössische Fachausweis (FA) im Personalwesen/HR, strong knowledge of Swiss labor laws, regulations, and HR practices, and proven experience in Employee Relations, conflict resolution, or mediation and knowledge of collective bargaining law.
- Enjoy shaping change processes and comfortable in a matrix organization.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities without becoming rattled.
- Strong social skills, team orientation, and confident demeanor.
- Well‑versed in MS Office 365 and have experience with Workday.
- Fluency in French and German is required; fluent written and spoken English is also mandatory.
- Strong change management expertise and solid understanding of business and financial topics.
Open to travel across Swiss sites to partner with in‑country teams where needed.
