Role Context
The HR Business Partner develops and implements both long‑term and short‑term strategies that align structure, culture, and talent with business goals, providing individual support and coaching for the Swiss area. They offer expertise and guidance in areas such as HR and business strategy alignment, organizational design, workforce planning, employee engagement, and culture and change management. The role fosters a positive and inclusive work environment as a competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop a people strategy aligned with global and regional strategies.
- Collaborate with business leadership on talent management, organizational design, strategic workforce planning, and culture development.
- Partner / Broker with HR COEs, functional HRBPs to ensure implementation of appropriate/ aligned strategies, programs & processes.
Partnering with the COEs (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Change Management, Total Reward)
- Develop and implement strategies to attract, develop, and retain diverse talent.
- Personal ownership for key HR metrics (recruitment, development, retention, etc.) for their client group, making deep dive to root cause and develop and execute appropriate countermeasures where needed.
- Lead talent assessment in the organization, identifying key employee strengths and development needs to select, retain and develop key talent.
- Lead succession planning and talent development strategies for the organization, identifying critical roles and preparing potential talent and pipelines.
- Drive and sustain the key processes around engagement, from analysis, communication, feedback, and action planning.
- Lead client groups through critical HR operating rhythms such as merit & bonus planning, performance management and Talent Review.
- Being the escalation point for complex case management and provides expert advice to managers on employee issues including discipline and grievance.
- Works with leaders and managers to professionally execute corporate policies and HR programs ensuring appropriate and agreed levels of quality, delivery and cost.
- Partner & manage local labor & employee relations ensuring legal compliance.
- Serve as a member of the Swiss leadership team, the pension foundation board, and the works council.
Qualifications
- Co-create, implement, and execute programs to support the business & people strategy.
- Have a degree and/or the 'eidgenössische Fachausweis (FA) im Personalwesen/HR', with strong knowledge of Swiss labor laws, regulations, and HR practices with proven experience in Employee Relations, conflict resolution, or mediation and knowledge of collective bargaining law.
- Enjoy shaping change processes and be comfortable in a matrix organization.
- Can keep several balls in the air at the same time and not get rattled.
- Have high level of social skills, team orientation and confident demeanor.
- Be well‑versed in MS Office 365 and have already worked with Workday.
- Fluency in French and German is a prerequisite.
- Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Have strong change management expertise and a solid understanding of business and financial topics.
You are open to travel across our Swiss sites to partner with in‑country teams where needed.
