HR Business Partner Thouars & Nantes H/F
Job Description: This role partners closely with plant leadership to shape and deliver HR strategies that support operational and business goals. Acting as a trusted advisor, the role drives workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, and performance management while ensuring compliance with labor legislation and consistent HR practices. Using data‑driven insights and close collaboration with regional and global HR teams, the role supports organizational effectiveness, capability building, and a high‑performance culture across two sites, with a primary presence in Thouars.
Responsibilities
- Partner with plant leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring people plans support operational goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers by providing guidance on employee relations, organizational effectiveness, team dynamics, and leadership development
- Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, and internal mobility initiatives to ensure the plant has the right capabilities to meet current and future needs
- Drive employee engagement strategies through proactive listening, communication initiatives, and action plans that support a positive and high‑performance culture
- Support performance management processes by coaching leaders on goal setting, feedback quality, talent calibration, and development actions
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies, compliance with labor legislation, and effective management of social relations with internal and external stakeholders
- Use HR data, KPIs, and insights to support leadership decision‑making and identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to people and organizational performance
- Collaborate with regional/global HR to implement HR programs, change initiatives, and organizational development projects
- Identify training needs, promote employee development pathways, and support capability‑building programs across all levels
- The selected candidate must be willing to travel across the two sites on a regular basis with most presence being on the site of Thouars.
Qualifications
- High school diploma; BSc/BA in HR or Law, or relevant professional experience
- Proven experience as HR Manager or HR Business Partner in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of French labor laws and collective labor agreements
- Experience in social relations and interactions with employee representatives
- Demonstrated capability to support leaders through change, conflict resolution, and talent development
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); HRIS knowledge preferred
- Strong communication skills, influencing abilities, and relationship‑building capability
- High organizational effectiveness, analytical mindset, problem‑solving abilities, resilience, and attention to detail
