Head of Product and Pricing

As the Head of Pricing and Product at Allianz Direct France, you will oversee underwriting activities and align them with Allianz Direct’s strategy and Group requirements. You will report to the Chief Country Officer and lead a team of product, underwriting, and pricing specialists.

Your mission includes underwriting profitable business in P&C Car, Home, and Travel, ensuring products meet customer needs and remain competitive. Within the M&A integration of Luko and Eurofil, you will streamline and harmonize processes, support platform integration, and deliver positive economic outcomes for New Business and Renewal portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure products are fit for market, considering French direct market specifics.
• Ensure compliance with Allianz Direct and Allianz Group standards and policies.
• Turn portfolios towards profitable growth while accounting for French market nuances.
• Establish effective and efficient pricing processes in collaboration with international tribes.
• Lead the French Product and Pricing Committee.
• Build and strengthen the local Product and Pricing team through training and integration.
• Collaborate with international colleagues and Allianz France to share best practices.
• Contribute to steering overall business as part of the local Leadership Team.
• Implement TEx standards and obtain necessary qualifications for the French branch.
• Maintain proper, auditable documentation in line with Group standards.
• Foster continuous improvement and innovation.
• Benchmark market and competitors to identify innovation opportunities.
• Build strong networks across Allianz Group to support technical excellence.

What You'll Bring

• Strong command of pricing techniques, product analysis, and technical competitor benchmarking.
• Solid understanding of underwriting in relevant lines of business.
• Proven ability to interpret complex data.
• Experience leading a pricing function in French P&C insurance (5–7 years).
• Leadership experience managing teams of 5+ colleagues (3–5 years).
• Experience working in an international environment (1–3 years).
• MSc/MA in applied mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related discipline (certifications preferred).
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
