Hardware Engineer
Hardware Engineers design, develop, and test physical computing components including processors, memory systems, and peripheral hardware. They work from specifications through prototype validation and production release. Electrical engineering foundations alongside digital logic and systems design knowledge are expected.
Role Summary
Purpose : To design and optimize next-generation hardware accelerators that power edge AI applications while ensuring full compliance with the EU AI Act's hardware safety and reliability mandates.
Impact : This role directly influences the energy efficiency and regulatory readiness of our flagship silicon products, impacting millions of end-users in the autonomous systems sector.
Team Structure
Part of the Core Hardware Systems team, consisting of 12 engineers across PCB design, thermal management, and firmware.
Reports To
Reports to the Director of Hardware Engineering.
Working Conditions
Travel: 15% and standard business hours with flexibility; occasional evening calls with Asian manufacturing partners.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate precision lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
- Fine motor skills for manual soldering and micro-probing during prototyping.
