Role Overview

The Group FP&A Manager is responsible for leading financial planning, performance management, and insight generation across the Group’s commercial activities. Based in Paris, the role acts as a senior finance business partner to commercial leadership and Group Finance, ensuring strong financial governance, transparency, and decision support.

This position owns the consolidation and analysis of commercial financial performance at Group level, drives insight‑led decision‑making, and shapes the financial narrative around revenue, margins, pricing, and growth for senior management.

Key Responsibilities

Group Commercial FP&A

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A cycles for Group Commercial (budget, forecast, actuals), ensuring consistency, accuracy, and clear ownership.

Consolidate and analyze revenue, gross margin, pricing, and commercial cost performance across regions and business units.

Own Group‑level variance analysis versus budget and forecast, with clear bridge explanations (volume, price, mix, cost).

Prepare high‑quality management reporting, dashboards, and executive presentations for the Finance Director Group Commercial, Group Finance, and senior leadership.

Oversee month‑end close activities for the commercial perimeter, including review of accruals, provisions, and revenue‑related adjustments.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

Act as a trusted finance business partner to senior commercial leaders, supporting performance reviews, strategic decision‑making, and investment assessments.

Challenge assumptions, assess scenarios, and provide actionable insights on growth initiatives and margin optimisation.

Contribute to ad‑hoc analyses and strategic projects driven by commercial or Group Finance leadership.

Governance, Standards & Performance Insights

Drive consistency in commercial FP&A methodologies, reporting standards, and KPIs across the Group.

Ensure alignment between commercial KPIs and the Group P&L, with clear reconciliation and data integrity.

Support development and enhancement of dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility on commercial performance.

Lead initiatives to simplify, standardise, and automate commercial FP&A processes and reporting.

Enhance insight generation through advanced analysis, improved data structures, and visualisation tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in FP&A or Commercial Finance, ideally in a multi‑entity or international environment. Group exposure would be ideal.
  • Strong understanding of revenue, margin, and commercial performance drivers.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; SAP or equivalent ERP experience required.
  • Strong business partnering, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Proactive, structured, and results‑oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
