Global Head of FP&A

Finatal is partnering with a private equity-backed software business (~€250M revenue) entering its next phase of scale and value creation.

As Global Head of FP&A, you will play a central role in shaping the financial strategy, driving performance, and supporting executive decision-making at the highest level. This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to the CFO, CEO, and investors.

The position sits at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations, with a clear mandate to strengthen financial planning capabilities, improve performance visibility, and support EBITDA growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the Global FP&A Function

• Own and develop a best-in-class FP&A capability across the group
• Deliver high-quality financial insights to support strategic decision-making
• Act as a key business partner to senior leadership

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

• Lead the annual budgeting process across all business units
• Own quarterly reforecast cycles and ensure alignment with business performance
• Develop and maintain robust long-range planning models
• Own the corporate financial model and multi-year strategic plan
• Provide scenario analysis to support key investment and growth decisions
• Support M&A activity, including financial analysis and integration planning

4. Performance & Value Creation

• Drive performance tracking and KPI development across the organisation
• Identify opportunities for margin improvement and operational efficiency
• Strengthen financial discipline and accountability across teams

5. Stakeholder & Investor Engagement

• Prepare and deliver high-quality materials for executive leadership and investors
• Support board-level discussions with clear, data-driven insights
• Act as a trusted partner to the CFO and leadership team
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing FP&A team
• Establish scalable processes and systems to support future growth

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in FP&A or strategic finance within a software or SaaS environment
• Experience in a private equity-backed company strongly preferred
• Strong track record of partnering with senior leadership and influencing decision-making
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities
• Experience in building or scaling FP&A functions in a growth environment
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, performance-driven setting
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at board level
