As the Division’s single point of entry for all legal matters, you will be a bridge‑builder, trusted advisor, and business enabler. This senior, high‑impact role reports directly to the Group’s General Counsel and works in close partnership with the LDB Division’s Executive Committee.

The legal function plays a pivotal role in enabling business ambitions while ensuring the highest standards of compliance, governance, and ethical conduct.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating all legal aspects encountered by the Division.
- Serve as the Division's single point of entry for “all things legal”.
- Act as a bridge between existing Legal Department experts and the Division, facilitating efficient and effective legal support.
- Coordinate legal compliance across all Zones and Countries, particularly on cross‑functional or cross‑territorial topics, and identify, share, and scale best practices from HQ, Zones, and Countries.
- Provide business proximity: first level of legal support and be the accessible, visible, and reliable “go-to” legal partner for all matters across the Division.
- Apply Legal by Design principles: ensure every project, initiative, and strategic decision includes a legal checkpoint from the outset.
- Support the Business to unlock value while managing legal risk effectively.
- Manage contract management for Licensed Brands applicable to the Division.
- Ensure full Legal Compliance as to all applicable laws and regulations, implement and oversee compliance programs aligned with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Lead Global Risk Assessment and Management for the Division.
- Support the Division in the development of product and sustainability claims, leveraging sector expertise in cosmetics, medical aesthetics, and nutritional supplements.
- Raise awareness & proactive legal education: design and deliver educational programs to ensure the Division complies with evolving laws and regulations and remains legally secure.
- Relay major strategic legal issues between the Division and the Group Legal Department, and vice versa.
Education
Master 2 or equivalent LLM or JD
Experience
- Minimum 12 years of in‑house legal experience, with a demonstrated track record of handling complex, multi‑jurisdictional legal matters in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience working within an affiliate (country/zone legal team), not solely at headquarters level, to ensure an understanding of the operational realities faced by local legal teams and business units.
- Significant exposure to one or more of the following sectors:
- Cosmetics (regulatory, claims, IP, advertising)
- Medical aesthetics (devices, clinical claims, regulatory frameworks such as MDR/EU, FDA)
- Nutritional supplements (food law, health claims regulation, EFSA/FDA frameworks)
- Pharmaceutical industry (as an equivalent or adjacent background)
Skills & Competencies
- Bilingual – fluency in both written and spoken English and French is required; additional languages are a strong asset.
- Excellent legal judgment and the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable business guidance.
- Strong cross‑functional leadership and the ability to influence without authority across geographies and business functions.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a matrix organization.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and genuine commitment to an ethical and trust‑based legal culture.
