Financial Modeling Analyst | Remote

Position: Private Equity Modeling & Diligence Specialist

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $140–$240/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Build and enhance LBO models, operating projections, and return analyses to evaluate investment opportunities.
• Conduct valuation analysis using DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction methodologies.
• Review company financial statements, KPIs, and market data to support informed investment decisions.
• Perform detailed financial diligence to assess business quality, growth potential, and value creation opportunities.
• Stress-test investment assumptions and model multiple scenarios to identify risks and return drivers.
• Evaluate transaction risks, capital structure alternatives, and deal economics.
• Prepare concise written analyses and present insights, risks, and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong years of experience in private equity, investment banking, transaction advisory, or related financial analysis roles.
• Proven expertise in LBO modeling, financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
• Strong ability to analyze financial statements and convert data into actionable investment insights.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in industry-standard financial modeling techniques.
• Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently within distributed investment teams.
