Finance Evidence and Judgment Practitioner

The opportunity

IXO is seeking finance and accounting practitioners for paid expert work across the profession. The role is broad in subject coverage, but each assignment is matched to experience you can demonstrate. Its focus is whether an answer survives professional scrutiny, not whether it sounds financially sophisticated.

Work across your finance specialty

Relevant areas include accounting and audit; corporate finance and planning; investment banking and transaction work; asset and wealth management; and insurance and actuarial analysis. You do not need to qualify in every area.

• Turn real professional questions into exercises supported by filings, financial records or other authorized evidence.
• Develop reference answers that show how assumptions, calculations and judgment lead to the conclusion.
• Check whether AI reconciles figures correctly, chooses a defensible accounting treatment and interprets valuation sensitivities appropriately.
• Identify polished responses that would fail a disclosure check, audit review or examination of the supporting evidence.
• Explain errors and ambiguities in written grading rationales, including the information needed before a firmer judgment can be made.

Expected outputs include finance cases, worked reference answers, review criteria and specific feedback on model attempts. The relevant accounting, audit, disclosure or valuation framework should be stated in the exercise so another reviewer can follow the basis of the answer.

Professional fit

Applicants need substantive professional finance or accounting experience, clear written explanations and judgment when facts or instructions are incomplete. You should be willing to flag an unclear task rather than invent the missing information. Describe your own decisions, work products and specialist knowledge in your application.

No fixed degree, certification, minimum tenure or named software requirement is imposed across this broad role. Selection will consider the expertise needed for the work. Your application can include a resume or experience summary and the location from which you work.

Engagement and pay

Remote IXO expert engagements pay $65 $190/hr USD, depending on the assignment and experience. Hours, duration, scope and agreed rate are confirmed before work begins. Applying or completing an assessment does not guarantee immediate or recurring work; no fixed matching timetable is promised.
