Introduction
Talent‑Relay has partnered with an innovative client within the Healthcare and Med‑Tech space to onboard a proactive IT Field Service Engineer, to support software & hardware for their client base across the West France region, Nantes, Rennes.
As an IT Field Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering top‑tier service in PC (Windows), software, network, and hardware troubleshooting. The role involves extensive travel to medical centres and hospitals throughout the West France region. Midweek overnight stays will be likely, and some weekend work during busy periods, with excellent overtime rates.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, support, and maintain the product range.
- Conduct site surveys and provide on‑site/reactive support.
- Provide scheduled maintenance and upgrade assistance, available both remotely and on‑site.
- Carry out installations in accordance with company procedures.
- Collaborate with customers and installers.
Additional Benefits
- Full expense framework: overtime payments, travel/fuel, and per diem/food allowance.
- Field position requires up to 70%-80% travel.
Skills & Experience
- Prior experience as a technically qualified IT Field Engineer / IT Service Engineer.
- Strong hardware diagnostic skills, including PC hardware replacement.
- Proficiency in Windows 10/7, O365, TCP/IP networking, and troubleshooting tools.
- Solid customer service experience & “can‑do” / results‑oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
- Experience with desktop installation / imaging.
- Previous experience with installation, troubleshooting & resolving hardware issues.
- Experience with storage – RAID / NAS.
- Understanding of routers & switches.
- Nice to have: previous experience with medical devices, medical imaging, radiotherapy.
