Job Description
Engineering Manager on Joko’s Tech team, responsible for leading a high‑skilled software engineering team on cutting‑edge projects such as mobile development, AI/ML, and real‑time data processing.
What You Will Do
- Recruitment – attract and select top talent to grow the team.
- Onboarding – ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
- People Growth – spearhead professional development and support career progression.
- Technical Leadership – review work, guide technical decisions, and provide mentoring.
- Cross‑Team Collaboration – foster collaboration across tech and other teams.
- Strategic Coordination – contribute to prioritization and strategy with Product.
- Process Improvement – continuously evaluate and improve team workflows.
- Punctual Individual Contributions – engage in hands‑on tasks such as automation and optimization.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience – 3+ years in Software Engineering, with at least 1 year in an engineering management role.
- Track record – demonstrated high potential through:
- Experience or growth in a top‑tier company or project.
- Strong entrepreneurial or open‑source involvement.
- Top‑tier academic background for junior profiles.
- Speaking at conferences, organising meetups, or contributing to tech communities.
- Advanced technical expertise – deep software architecture knowledge and a keen eye for emerging technologies.
- Builder’s mindset – hands‑on and focused on impact.
- Full‑stack spirit – not limited by a specific layer or language.
- Fast learner – adaptable to fast‑changing environments.
- Problem solver – strong analytical skills with a creative yet pragmatic approach.

- Languages – fluent in English, French not required.
